In addition to its original programming, TuneIn is further expanding its content offerings to MLB fans through a new partnership with the popular online media company The Ringer, founded by Bill Simmons. For the entire month of April, “The Ringer MLB Show,” hosted by Ben Lindbergh and Michael Baumann, will produce two episodes per week, exclusively available on TuneIn.
“Baseball is the original audio sport and coming off the historic 2016 season, we are proud to offer fans the home and away feeds of their favorite teams,” said TuneIn Chief Content Officer Kevin Straley. “With TuneIn, fans can continue to connect with their favorite home announcers for all 162 games, whether they are in their local market or listening from thousands of miles away. We are also excited to have added ‘The Ringer MLB Show’ to our platform exclusively beginning on MLB Opening Day to provide analysis and insight into all thirty teams.”
2017 marks the second full season of TuneIn’s partnership with the MLB that gives TuneIn Premium subscribers access to the radio play-by-play feeds of every game, including Spanish language feeds for select games.
In addition to live games, TuneIn is home to a dedicated 24/7 “MLB on TuneIn” station that features the audio simulcasts of MLB Network’s Intentional Talk, game recaps and encore episodes of MLB on TuneIn LIVE, Presented by Esurance. As the official audio streaming app of the MLB, TuneIn will also be featured in home page takeovers on the MLB.com site and all 30 club sites on March 30.
